Evenlode Primary School

Always being our best, for ourselves and for each other

Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to our community!

Evenlode Primary School is a two-form entry school for children from Nursery to Year Six. Our Nursery children are in their own setting on Bute Lane in Penarth and the children from Reception to Year Six are on our site at Evenlode Avenue. Our school community is supported by our Saplings Out of School Provision, which is our wrap around care for children on the Evenlode Avenue site.

Our school is a very special place and we pride ourselves on ensuring that everyone feels they belong to the Evenlode community. As an anti racist and inclusive community, we celebrate how special and unique each individual is and we welcome everybody into our school. Our motto is ‘Belonging, believe, achieve’. We pride ourselves on knowing our children extremely well and their wellbeing is integral to our ethos and everyday life.  Our school values are really important to us: being respectful and compassionate, positive and kind are values we strive to show every day.

We are privileged to have a dedicated and highly skilled team of staff and Governors who have the best interests of all children at the heart of what we do. This is evident in the high-quality learning experiences our children have in a vibrant, joyful learning environment. Staff are passionate in making sure our outdoor and indoor learning environments on both sites are purposeful and welcoming and our children love the opportunities to learn outside in our extensive outdoor spaces… including our Forest School!

Our innovative and bespoke ‘Hook and Book’ curriculum ensures that children make strong progress with their learning and we look for opportunities for children to develop curiosity, resilience, determination and thinking ‘outside the box’.

We are proud of our ‘togetherness’ as our whole community and we hope you enjoy finding more about us through our website, Facebook page and visiting our wonderful school.

Thank you for visiting our school website.
