Welcome to our website.

Evenlode Primary School is a thriving two form entry school which serves the community of Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan.  We are on a split site with Evenlode Nursery on the Bute Lane site, and the main school (Reception Year to Year Six) on the main site at Evenlode Avenue. We are fortunate to be set in lovely open grounds on both sites, giving us access to our super environment both indoors and outdoors. Our school is a happy, caring, safe place to be. Our ethos is one of valuing all the members of our community and supporting the children at Evenlode to develop and flourish. We have high expectations that children make strong progress and we guide them to achieve the best of their own individual potential and develop their own talents. 

Our motto is 'Always being our best, for ourselves and for each other'. Our school values have been developed as a community. They are based on the Four Purposes and are important to us as 'habits' we want to develop and celebrate in daily life. 

Our curriculum is creative , broad and experiential. We plan learning carefully, using overarching concepts and high quality literature (our 'hook and book' approach)  so that children are able to make connections across a range of learning experiences, and relish their learning.
